TILTON - William A. "Bill" Wear Sr. 84 of Tilton, passed away at 5:20am Sunday, July 30, 2023, at his home.

He was born December 20, 1938, in Danville, Illinois to William B. & Susie High Wear Sr. When Bill was 11 years old, a special person came into his life, Walter Noerenberg became his step-father. Bill married Janet Lou Gruber January 1, 1961, in Tilton, she survives as well as, one son William A. "Billy" (Sherry) Wear Jr of Tilton; two brothers, William "Benny" (Sylvia) Wear, Floyd Wear, one sister Doris Vanvekoven; two grandchildren, William Robert (Laine) Wear and Chad Alan (Desire) Wear; two great grandchildren Jocelyn Wear and Audrey Wear, as well as a sister in law Joyce Honn, and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by two half-brothers, Roy Noerenberg and Fred Noerenberg, three sister's-in-law Brenda Jean Alcorn, Billie Mae Wear, and Mary Wear as well as two brother's-in-law Chuck Honn and George Vanvekoven, and a nephew Duane Honn.

Bill was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He had worked for forty-four years at Danville Metal Stamping, retiring as Supervisor.

Per Bill's wishes cremation rites will be accorded, and services will be held at a later date. Robison Chapel in Catlin, Illinois is handling arrangements. On-line condolences at www.robisonchapel.com.
