Bismarck, IL - William "Dean" Cox, 89, of Bismarck, IL passed away at 2:48 AM on December 6, 2025 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL.

Dean was born on July 9, 1936 the son of Russell and Pauline (Lindsey) Cox in Danville, IL. He married Mary "Christine" Campbell on August 6, 1961 in State Line, IN and she preceded him in death on March 6, 2016.

Dean is survived by his children, Connie (Brian) Wade of Arlington Heights, IL and Marvin (Debbie) Cox of Danville, IL, two grandchildren, Jennifer Cox of Chicago, IL and Billy Wade of Arlington Heights, IL as well as several nieces and nephews.

Dean is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Christine and sister and brother-in-law, Arlene and Herb Hibler.

Dean farmed his entire life in the Bismarck, IL area and worked as a Tax Preparer for H&R Block for over 25 years.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. James Boudouris will officiate. Burial will be at Spring Hill Cemetery in Danville, IL. Visitation will be held from 9-11:00 AM on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at the funeral home.
