William A. Boswell, Sr. Obituary

Perrysville, Ind. - William A. Boswell Sr., 82, of rural Perrysville, passed away at 6:14 p.m. CDT Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Sacred heart Medical Center in Danville, Illinois.


He was born January 25, 1940 in Cayuga, Indiana, the son of Carl W. and Lois E. (Shute) Boswell.


Bill married Myra J. Pruitt on November 21, 1964 in Kingman, Indiana. She preceded him in death on July 10, 2006.


Survivors include his daughter: Donna (Jeff) Simpson of Danville, Illinois; son: William (Michelle) Boswell, Jr. of Rockville, Indiana; stepson: James (Wanda) Pruitt, Sr. of Attica, Indiana; thirteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister: Carolyn J. Wait of Perrysville, Indiana, and one niece and three nephews.


Bill was preceded in death by his mother: Lois E. Hansen; father: Carl W. Boswell; stepfather: John Henry Hansen, daughter: Sheila R. Boswell, and brother: Carl Richard Boswell.


Bill retired from Bunge Grain in Danville, Illinois as a elevator operator. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, camping, boating, tractor pulls and working on tractors.


Funeral services: 2 p.m. EDT Monday, March 21, 2022 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Ashton Stewart; Burial: Miller Cemetery in Lodi, Indiana; Visitation: 1 to 4 p.m. EDT Sunday, March 20, 2022 at the funeral home. Condolences: www.deverterfuneralhome.com.
