William "Bill" Raymond Seidler, 88, of Danville, passed away at 6:15 p.m. May 13, 2018, at Hawthorne Inn in Danville.

Bill was born December 9, 1929, the son of Louis and Helen (Hike) Seidler in Danville.

He married Marion "Mickey" Timm on July 1, 1956, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danville. She survives.

Also surviving include nephews, Steve (Judy) Seidler, Bruce (Judy) Seidler, Mike (Chris) Kroll; nieces, Connie (Dale) Carlton and Susan (Rich) Balten; and 10 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jack Seidler; three sisters-in-law, Kathryn Seidler, Irene Timm and Barbara Kroll; two brothers-in-law, Wayne Timm and David Kroll; one nephew, Gary Timm; and one niece, Judy Timm.

After high school, Bill went to work at Steel Grip Safety Apparel until going to work for the United States Postal Service in the mid 1960s. He retired in 1989.

He was a life-long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where he sang with the choir, was an Elder, was chairman of the Social Ministries Communication and a member of the Men's Club. He was also a member of Golden K Kiwanis. Bill enjoyed nature. He especially loved fishing, mushrooming and woodworking.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 17, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1930 N. Bowman Ave., Danville. Officiating will be Rev. Michael Heidle. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville.
