Venice, Florida - In Memory of William (Bill) J. Rolinitis

February 18, 1938 - July 27, 2026

Bill Rolinitis passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026 with his family next to him.

He had a long and distinguished career with the 3M Company, where his dedication and hard work were a source of great pride.

Beyond his professional achievements, Bill lived a rich, full life defined by his deep devotion to his family and his passion for the great outdoors.

Above all, Bill adored his beloved wife, Sharon Rolinitis, whom he missed dearly after her passing. Together, they shared a wonderful life filled with adventure, traveling the world and exploring Europe side by side.

An avid fisherman and outdoorsman, Bill loved taking fishing trips with family and friends with many adventures from Lake of the Woods to the waters of Canada and Alaska.

Among his many memories, he was very proud of catching a trophy musky — a story he loved to share. He also enjoyed hunting in northern Minnesota and Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ledia Rolinitis; his brother, Darrell Rolinitis of Westville, IL; and his loving wife, Sharon Rolinitis of Venice, FL.

He is survived by his son, William L. Rolinitis (Karla); his daughter, Lisa French (Dale Dimke); five grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Bill will always be in our hearts and forever missed as the rock of our family. We take comfort in knowing he is reunited with Sharon, our mom, resting peacefully after a life truly well-lived.

Private family services will take place in Danville, IL at a later date.
