Tilton, IL - Wanda E. Moore, 83 of Tilton, passed away at her home on Sunday, January 4, 2026, with her family by her side. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 6th from 11-1pm with services beginning at 1pm. Lisa Miller will officiate. After services Wanda will be laid to rest beside her husband at Songer Cemetery in Tilton.

Wanda was born in Danville on June 10, 1942 to Joseph and Wanda (Whirley) Burton Sr. She attended Tilton Grade School and DHS, graduating in 1960. Wanda married Robert Moore Sr. on June 10, 1960 (on her eighteenth birthday), and began her career of a wife and mother. Wanda had a passion for children and loved any she could get her hands on, thought her grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She was a BINGO fanatic and rarely missed a local BINGO game and also enjoyed her bus trips to the boat in Peoria.

Wanda lost her husband Robert in 2018 after fifty-eight years together. She leaves behind her two sons: Gerry Moore and Robert Moore Jr; her six grandchildren: Justin, Anthony, Karlee, Mandy, Jimbob, and Steve; seven great-grandchildren: Jaxton, Avorie, Paislee, Cooper, Oliver, Damien, and Dallas; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob, a grandson Bobby D, a granddaughter Sherrill, her brother Joe, three sisters: Joanne, Dora, and Mary; and a sister-in-law: Lori.
