Troy R. Davis, 53, of Oakwood, passed away at 10:10 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2023, at his mother's home in Oakwood. He was born February 24, 1970, at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri, the son of Bruce R. and Lana L. (Turner) Davis. He is survived by his father, Bruce Davis, his mother, Lana Wasser, his children, Joshua A. (Samantha) Davis of Riverton, IL, Jonathan J. Davis of Atlanta, GA, Justin E. (Ashley-Joy) Davis of Oakwood, and Grace O.R. Davis of Oakwood, three grandchildren and a brother, Jason (Kara) Davis of Clearfield, UT.
Troy was in law enforcement for 30 years in Vermilion County, retiring from Illinois State Police after 21 years of service. He was a Master Gardener and enjoyed the outdoors.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2023, at United Church of Tilton with Pastor Darin Perkins officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.
