Danville, Illinois - Thomas L. Heiser, 77, of Danville, Illinois passed away at 4:14 pm on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at the OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, Danville, Illinois.

Thomas was born on April 18, 1947, in La Crosse, Wisconsin to Arthur N. and Wanda Jean Kennedy Heiser. He married Janice A. Marias on September 8, 1979, in Burbank, Illinois. She survives. Also surviving are: two sons: Dustin (Janna) Heiser of Danville, Illinois and Corey B. (Jessica) Heiser of Seymour, Illinois; one sister: Susan J. (Leslie) Morris of Pierson, Florida; and eight grandchildren: Adara Heiser, Piper Heiser, Gabriella Zambello, Lydia Heiser, Amelia Heiser, Jhacoby Shade, Julius Thomas, and Hunter Heiser.

He graduated from Johnson City High School and earned his bachelor's degree from Eastern Illinois in 1965. He served in the US Marines and was a registered Therapist. He worked at the OSF Bobette Steely Cancer Care Center and was a life member of the Danville VFW. He was a member of the Knight of Columbus 3rd and 4th degree. He enjoyed golfing, playing tournament Euchre and Karaoke.

Memorial services 12:30 pm on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Robison Chapel, Catlin Illinois with Father Peter Pilon officiating. Inurnment in the Danville National Cemetery with military honors by the Danville American Legion Post #210. Visitation is from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Robison Chapel, Catlin, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the VFW Honor Guard.
