Steven Ray Howard, age 71 of Williamsport, IN, passed away at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette at 9:10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.

Steve was born on April 12, 1950 in Williamsport, IN and was a lifelong resident of Warren County. He was the son of George D. and Emma (Jernagan) Howard. Steve attended Williamsport Schools. He married Vicki Bridgewater on April 24, 1969 in Heartsville, TN and she survives.

Steve worked in maintenance for M.S.D. of Warren County for 21 years retiring in 2012. He farmed for Lloyd & Nancy York and Gary York. He was a member of the Judyville Methodist Church. Steve was a member of the Moose Lodge #1482 in Attica, IN. Steve loved plowing snow, mowing his yard, and working on cars. He loved tools and working in his garage. Steve especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

1 brother, Robert (Nancy) Howard of Attica, IN;

7 grandchildren, Joey Howard, Jordan McPike, Zackary McPike,

Collen VanVactor, Heather Collins, Daniel Hunley, and Nikki Thieke

14 great grandchildren

2 sister-n-laws, Ann Howard and Alice Howard, both of Williamsport, IN

Many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Kathleen Longest and Mae Wilson; 3 brothers, Jim Howard, Wayne Howard, and Dewey Howard; grandson, Billy Anderson, and great grandchild, Infant McPike.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport from Noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Clint Fink officiating.
