Danville - Sondra K. Valdez, 72, of Danville, passed away at 2:36 pm Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
She was born on October 17, 1952, in Danville, IL., the daughter of Harold and Josephine Wigly Haga. She married Oscar Valdez. He survives. Other survivors include: her children, Harry (Tammy) Burton III, Chandra (Randy) Gerrity, Porfirio Perez, Enrique Perez, Martin (Suzanna) Perez, and Katrina (Brad) Perez; her siblings, Wand Bishop, Freda Varner, Eddie (Elsie) Haga, Bonnie (Joel) Robinson, Richard Haga, Anita Dyer, Donna Mattingly, and Wilma Pitts; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Paul Joseph Haga, Connie Munoz, Juanita Samford, and James Harold Jr. Haga.
Sondra enjoyed fishing and making quilts. She loved her cats and dogs but most of all she loved being with her family.
Funeral services 11 am Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Robison Chapel in Catlin with Pastor James Blue officiating. Burial in Oakridge Cemetery in Catlin. Visitation 10-11 am Wednesday prior to the service at Robison Chapel. On-line condolences at www.robisonchapel.com.
