Tilton, IL - Tilton - Shirley A. Gorham, 86, of Tilton passed away at 10:13 AM on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at OSF Heart of Mary in Urbana. She was born March 16, 1939 in Danville to Jess and Marie Martin. She was married to Ernest M. Gorham with whom she had one son.

She is survived by her son, Ernie A. Gorham of Tilton, and cousins Eva and Roger Cornwell.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Shirley was a talented seamstress and whatever she made, you knew it would last. She also enjoyed watching wrestling and auto racing, especially NASCAR, with her son.

A service to celebrate the life of Shirley A. Gorham will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61834. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM prior to the service on Tuesday, also at Sunset in Danville.
