DANVILLE - Ruth E. (Dekam) Inman, age 91, of Danville, formerly of West Lebanon, Ind., died on Monday, Nov. 14, 2016 at the Waters of Covington.

Ruth was born on Feb. 22, 1925 in Kalamazoo, Mich. She was the daughter of Cornelius and Rose (Zurawski) Dekam. She was a 1943 graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School. She married Howard Inman in State Line, Ind. on Jan. 26, 1946 and he preceded her in death on Aug. 15, 1995.

Ruth worked at the jacket factory in Covington, Ind., was a rural paper carrier for the Commercial News for 6 years and was a housewife. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, in Danville, where she loved to go to church. She loved to read and sew. She also enjoyed playing board games and working crossword puzzles.

Surviving are, three sons, H. Brent Inman (Anne) of rural Williamsport, Ind., David W. Inman of Danville, and John C. Inman (Lynne) of Covington, Ind.; two daughters, Brenda Wright (Stephen) of Greentown, Ind. and Nancy L. Inman of Danville; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Margaret Johnston and Mildred Bridgewater; and one brother, Richard G. Dekam.

Private graveside services will be held at West Lebanon Cemetery with Pastor Tom Hunter officiating.
