Danville, Illinois - Danville, Illinois - Ruby Irene Stacey, 98, of Danville, Illinois went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at 1:05 am on Thursday, May 7th, 2026, at the Avon Health and Rehabilitation Center, Avon, Indiana.

Ruby was born on July 3rd, 1927, in Ogden, Illinois to Ray and Grace Esworthy Yeats. She married Stephen E. Stacey on August 30th, 1946. She raised two children (Stephen and Marla) and was a member of the Lutheran Church in Danville, Illinois. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen E. Stacey, her parents, Ray and Grace Yeats, her siblings, Raymond, Melvin, Fauntella, Rena, Dorothy, Virgina, Ruth, Wilma, and Janice, and also by her son, Stephen Ray Stacey. She is survived by her daughter, Marla Kay Diel (Ronald), her grandson, Christopher Hunt (Shelly), her great-grandchildren, Ethan Hunt (Shelby) and Lauren Hunt, and great-great-granddaughter, Eden Hunt. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services 11:00 am on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Robison Chapel in Catlin, Illinois with Pastor Dave Hastings officiating. Burial in the Lutheran Cemetery, Danville, Illinois.
