Danville, IL - Rodney R. Cox, 68, of Danville, IL passed away at his home on February 19, 2026 at 8:09 PM.

Rodney was born on March 17, 1957 the son of Jack R. and Donna (Hobick) Cox in Danville, IL.

Rodney is survived by his mother, Donna Cox of Oakwood, IL, his children, Ryan (Rachel Kloth) Cox of Rossville, IL and Rachel Juvinall of Veedersburg, Indiana, six grandchildren, Dakota, Mikayla, Abbie, Estrella, Adian and Dean as well as two great-grandchildren, Alexander and Brielynn and siblings, Kathy Fourez of Oakwood, IL and Joni Barnes of Sevierville, Tennessee.

Rodney is preceded in death by his father, Jack Cox, brother-in-law Terry Fourez and brother-in-law Jeff Barnes.

Rodney worked at Cox Electric Motor from 1981 until his retirement in 2025. Rod enjoyed spending his free time attending the NHRA Nationals, bowling, hunting, hanging out with his friends and attending his grandchildren's sporting events.

A Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am March 7th, 2026 at Morning Star Church at 201 N Chicago St. Rossville IL 60963. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am at the church. Pastor Dan Mikel will officiate.

Memorials may be made in Rodney's memory to Oakwood Food Pantry, PO Box 66 Oakwood, IL 61858.
