Georgetown - Robert Thomas Virostek, 64, of Georgetown, passed away at 8:27 pm Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
He was born on November 19, 1959, in Danville, IL. the son of Frank J. and Dorothy A. Crumbaugh Virostek. He married Melissa Nasser on February 16, 1985, in Danville, IL. She survives. He is also survived by his brother, Frank (Judy) Virostek of Westville. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Robert worked at Quaker for over twenty years and retired on January 3, 2023. He enjoyed boating, target shooting, and working on cars. He was quite the handyman and could fix anything.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Westville, Illinois, Father Timothy Sauppe as celebrant. Burial will follow in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Westville. The Robison Chapel in Catlin is handling service details. Online condolences at www.robisonchapel.com.
