Robert Franklin Harvey Sr, 84 of Danville, passed peacefully in his home on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. A mass will be held on Tuesday, October 8th at 10am at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 1303 N. Walnut Street in Danville with Father Cyr officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to his late wife Clara.

Bob was born on June 29, 1940 in Danville to Harland and Alice (Sasseen) Harvey. He was raised and attended school in Danville, and later went to work as a Truck Driver for a coal company. After driving a truck for several years, he began working in maintenance at Schlarman and later The Wolford Apartments.

Bob married Clara Kocavar on May 2, 1970 at St. Paul's Catholic Church and the two were blessed to share forty-five years together before her passing in 2015. He leaves behind a son: Robert Harvey Jr; a daughter: Rachel Harvey Ferguson; three grandchildren: Tyler and Madison Ferguson, and Shelby Borden; a sister: Joyce Karusis; five brothers: Edward, David, John, Ronald and Greg Pundt; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Clara, and a brother Charles Pundt.
