CAYUGA, Ind. - Robert Almy Sr., 96, of Cayuga passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 9:28 p.m. CDT at Colonial Manor in Danville, Illinois.
He was born July 16, 1925 in Danville, Illinois to the late William and Florence (Baird) Almy.
He married Alberta Boggess August 25, 1945 in Indianola, Illinois. She preceded him in death August 14, 2002.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Mary Powell of Danville, Illinois; son, Robert Almy Jr. of Georgetown, Illinois; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother; two sisters, and brother-in-law: Don Fisher.
Robert graduated from Georgetown High School and went on to be a farmer and livestock producer up until his retirement. He attended the Cayuga Christian Church.
Private family graveside services were held Friday, September 24, 2021 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Indianola, Illinois. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana in charge of arrangements. Condolences: www.deverterfuneralhome.com.
