Richard Donovan made his last wildly inappropriate, and probably sarcastic comment, on February 11, 2022, at the age of 46.
Born September 16, 1975, Richard was a 1993 graduate from Sheldon High School, where he went on to join the United States Air Force. He was a lover of Classic and hard rock, muscle cars, and pretty ladies.
Richard is survived by his mother, Laura Holloway of Watseka, sister Joy (Jeff) Simpson of Bloomington, sister, Nicole Donovan Ford (Paul) of Terre Haute, nephew's Zach Karr, Keegan Karr (Tiffany), Damien Donovan, Aryn Vaughn, and Alex Simpson, nieces Kiara Donovan, Ariana Karr, and Lexi Ford, grandmother Ida Salyers, and aunts Linda Schaar, Lisa Salyers-Chaisson and Barbara Salyers.
We know Richard is rocking out in heaven, with his beloved aunt Lorraine Salyers and Uncle Michael Salyers, just after having a good talk with Grandma Charlene Evans.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 11, at Danville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wreaths Across America C/O Tammy Williams. Donations will go towards wreaths to be placed on graves, during the holiday season. Online condolences: www.rortvedtfuneralservices.com.
