Attica - Ray'Allan "Ray" Lamar Townsend, 19, passed away on March 24, 2025.

      Ray'Allan was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on April 1, 2005. He was the son of Nichole Marie Potter of Attica and Kentia Demerius Townsend of Danville, IL. Ray'Allan was raised in Danville, IL before coming to Attica, where he graduated from Attica High School in 2023. While attending Attica High School, Ray'Allan participated in sports and excelled in wrestling for the Attica Red Ramblers, who he chose as his bonus family. Ray'Allan enjoyed going to the park and playing basketball with his friends. He had an infectious smile and bright personality. In his senior year in high school he was voted Fall Homecoming King. He was an avid video gamer and enjoyed the time spent with his friends and listening to his music.

      Ray'Allan was presently working with Schmid Grain Equipment.

      He attended the former Church of the Living Waters, now known as the Narrow Way Ministry near Marshfield. On January 23, 2022, Ray'Allan was baptized in the church by Pastor Joe Smith.

      Of his many friends and family left behind to cherish his memory is his mother, Nichole and his father, Kentia; his four siblings, Monique, Eli, twins Ean and Luka; and including grandparents Kenneth Jones and Dawne Gress; Grandma Vivi (Vivinette Townsend); Great-Grandparents, Grandpa Tom (Thomas Latham) and Grandma Bobbie (Barbara Latham); Granny Granny Townsend (Dorothy Townsend). And not forgetting his father's siblings, TT Becca and Uncle Nana, and many cousins.

      A memorial gathering for Ray'Allan will be held in the Attica High School Auxiliary Gymnasium, 211 E. Sycamore St., Attica, IN on Sunday, April 6th from 1:00 p.m. until the Celebration of Ray's life at 5:00 p.m. with Pastors Joe Smith and Josh Barnett officiating. Memorial contributions in Ray'Allan's memory may be made to the Attica High School Wrestling Program.
