Randall D. Divan, 66, of Bloominton, formerly of Oakwood, passed away at 1:15 a.m., Friday, Nov. 1, 2019, at Courtyard Estates in Farmington. He was born on Sept. 2, 1953, in Danville, the son of Harold and Violet (Gillen) Divan-Mendenhall.
He is survived by his children, Jamie-Lea Divan of Aldie Va., Lucas (Jordan) Divan of Hanna City, Ill., and Megan (Andy) Nollman of Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Breanna and Blakeslee Divan and Tyler and Benjamin Nollman; his siblings, Michael (Judy) Divan, Judy (Terry) Divan-Lazzell and Robert (Kay) Divan ; and many extended family and friends.
Randy was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marines serving 1971-73. He worked for Mitsubishi Motors for 27 years. He loved to play golf and was a master gardener. He was known to be an avid Illini and Redskins fan. He loved the kids and played Santa at area schools and churches. He leaves a legacy and will be missed by many.
A celebration of Randy's life will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Oakwood, located at 105 E. South Main St., with Miles Clark officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6 at the Sunset Funeral Home in Oakwood. He will be laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given in his name to Unity Point Health Foundation, 3-West in Peoria.
