Phyllis A. Ault, 78, of Rankin, passed away Monday, December 17, 2018, at Accolade Health Care in Paxton.

She was born May 16, 1940, in Penfield, the daughter of Harm and Elsie (Fruhling) Hoveln. They preceded her in death.

Phyllis married Russell E. Ault in Gifford on September 20, 1958. He also preceded her in death on May 7, 1998.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Phyllis is survived by two sons, Jeffrey (Ranae) Ault of Penfield and Rodney (Sandy) Ault of Paxton; one daughter, Jill Robinson of Lakeland, Fla.; and one sister, Ellen Miller of Perrysville, Ind. Also surviving are five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Phyllis was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Rankin. She enjoyed quilting, shopping and spending time with her family.

Phyllis was rural mail carrier in the Rankin area for many years.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, December 20, at the Knapp Funeral Home in Rankin. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, December 21, at Grace Lutheran Church in Rankin. Pastor Jennifer Hartweg-Brown will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Rankin Union Cemetery in Rankin.
