Mildred M. Kunkle, 87, of Veedersburg, IN, passed away at her residence Wednesday October 26, 2022.

Mildred was born July 27, 1935 in Crawfordsville, IN the daughter of Everett Talmadge and Pauline Jane (Bryant) Wrightsman. She married Howard Mason Kunkle December 6, 1953; he preceded her in death August 14, 2019.

She is also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Wrightsman.

Surviving family includes two daughters, Terry (Linn) Allen, Veedersburg; Trudy (James) Hook, Lexington SC; two sons, Aaron (Suzi) Kunkle, Indianapolis; Alex (Donna) Kunkle, Danville IN; nine grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.

Mildred graduated from Greene Township High School in 1953. She had been a member of the First Christian Church in Veedersburg since 1965. Prior to her retirement she was employed for many years at the Veedersburg State Bank. She enjoyed the Monday night Euchre games at the Chatterbox, taking care of her many flowers, and the long-time annual trips to the Covered Bridge Festival. More than anything she loved and enjoyed her family.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Monday October 31, 2022 at First Christian Church 301 Mill Street Veedersburg, IN, with Pastor Garland Pannell officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 - 8:00 PM Sunday October 30, 2022 at First Christian Church. Burial at Memory Garden Cemetery in Rockville, IN. Memorial contributions may be given to First Christian Church.
