Max Anderson Obituary
Max Read Anderson, 70, of Danville, passed away August 17, 2019, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center.
Max was born August 24, 1948, son of James A. Anderson and Beverly A. (Read) Anderson. He graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a degree in accounting.
Except for a couple adventures, he lived his life in Danville, Ill. He said "I was born in Danville and I think I want to die in Danville." We were in the process of having him moved to a Louisville, Ky., nursing home to be close to family, but he got his wish and died in the town he loved.
He was an avid sports fan: Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks and Illini, and did we mention he loved the CUBS! Their World Series win made his life complete.
Max is survived by the person he was proudest of, his son, James R. (Resha) Anderson; two grandchildren, Sonya and Siri, who always brought a smile to his face; two brothers, Michael (Robert) Anderson and Mark (Tricia) Anderson; and his wife of 40 years, Jamie Anderson.
We would like to thank everyone in the ICU department at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center. We so appreciate everything you did for Max. He will be missed.
Funeral Mass will be at St. Paul's Catholic Church at noon Thursday, August 22, with a two-hour visitation prior to Mass. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
