Mary "Darlene" (Grimes) Miller, 72, of Danville passed away at 1:40 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at Presence USMC, Danville. She was born Dec. 31, 1943, in Oakwood, to William and Mary Clapp Grimes.

She was united in marriage to Ted Miller on June 7, 1971.

She will be missed by son, Brett (Christine) Miller; stepson, Scott (Kim) Slivkoff; brothers, Walter (Nancy M.) Grimes and Bob (Nancy) Grimes; sister-in-law, Jackie (Don) Lewis; two grandchildren, Jacob and Caleb Miller; two step-grandchildren, Ryan and Eric Slivkoff; with many nieces and nephews also surviving.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Ruth Goodwin-Powell; and husband, Ted.

Darlene was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Danville. She loved traveling and reading in her spare time. She loved her kids and family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, at Trinity Lutheran Church with a visitation an hour prior to the service with Pastor Kent Tibben and Pastor David Reed officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Oakwood. Visitation will be held from 4-7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 20, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., in Danville.
