Danville, Illinois - Lucy, 98 of Danville passed into the hands of her savior Jesus Christ on Friday, June 3rd at OSF Danville.

Daughter of George and Ettie (Bowles) Frye. Born in Oakwood, Illinois. Mom attended Oakwood schools. After graduation she moved to Champaign. She married Charles Ira Clark, Sr. who was stationed at Chanute A.F.B. They had two children, Charles Ira Clark, Jr, of Philippines and Carolyn S. Burke of Danville. Also surviving are her two grandchildren Kimberly (Anthony) Hannah-Smith. Curtis Clark of St. Peters, Mo. Two great-grandchildren Clayton Hannah of AZ. And Tyler Clark of FL. A special niece Karen Proctor of N.C. and a sister-in-law of VA.

Lucy was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents as well as husbands Charles Clark and Clarence Krabbe. A son-in-law Ted Burke, Grandson Christopher Clark. She also was preceded by two very special friends Dorothy Harrison and Gracelee Blazaitis.

Lucy was a working mother as a secretary with Webster-Heskett, Electric Eye Equipment, Esco and Tee Pak.

Later, she worked for United Telephone Co. and H & R Block in Florida. While in grade school she was asked by the local radio station to recite "Little Orphan Annie". In high school she wrote articles for the Commercial News. Mom had a love of writing poetry. She later became a published poet.

Later mom was one of several in Oakwood who worked tirelessly to stop interstate 74 from being built through Oakwood. She also was instrumental in starting the first Brownie and Girl Scouts troops in Oakwood. She was also a member of the National Secretaries Assoc and later the Business & Professional Women's Assoc of Danville. She volunteered at D.A.C.C. helping students with English as a second language. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Mom traveled the US and Europe. She enjoyed her card clubs, reading her Bible daily, murder mysteries and crossword puzzles.

Services will be held on Friday June 10th at Trinity Lutheran Church. Visitation is 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. with services to follow. Pastor Kent Tibben officiating. Burial: Lutheran Cemetery.
