Lisa Jane (Pate) Young Obituary

Lisa Jane (Pate) Young, 57, of Potomac, passed away at 6:58 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017. Lisa was born the daughter of Lawrence (Bud) and Betty Pate on Dec. 29, 1959. In 2003, Lisa met Dave Young and they spent the next 14 years happily together. He survives.

Lisa is also survived by her son, John (Heather) Flores; two brothers, Mark (Wanda) Pate and James (Marybeth) Pate; one sister, Teresia (David) Miller; 10 grandchildren, Kayla, Kayden, Lillie, Layla, Carli, Mason, Sophie, Caleb, Zoey and Makenna. Also her best friend in the world "Big Dog."

Lisa is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Rick and Michael Pate.

Lisa was a very sociable person, and had a way of holding a lengthy conversation with anyone and everyone. In her spare time, she enjoyed tending to the flowers in her garden and being in the kitchen where she loved to cook and bake. Her true passion, however, was to care for her family and friends and for this she will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville. Officiating will be Drew Mentzer. Burial will be in Pate Cemetery in Catlin. Visitation will be held from 5 - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017, at the funeral home.
