He was born November 18, 1947, in Corbin, Ky., the son of Floyd and Etta (Hall) Glascott, both deceased.
On June 6, 1993, Larry was united in marriage to Susan Kae Hart, whom he lovingly called "His Girlfriend" throughout their marriage. They had many special family and friends with them at their wedding, as well as 20 5- and 6-year-old kindergarteners who helped in making their wedding day so special.
Larry will be missed by his wife, Susan Glascott of Georgetown; his children, Eric Glascott of Ridge Farm, Brad (Zea) Glascott of Ridge Farm, Michael (Kellie) Rouse of Indianapolis, and Brandi Ragle of Wilson, N.C.; his brother, Dan (Jean) Glascott of Franklin, N.C.; his grandchildren, Brandon, Hannah, Lauren, Lee, Easton, Audrey and Grace; and many special nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his good neighbor, Olive Vogt.
Larry was known to all as a man who dearly loved his family. He enjoyed going fishing and golfing with his boys. He was an avid golf ball hunter and enjoyed being a coach for baseball, softball and football. He was a friend to all and loved talking to people. He liked mowing his yard and being at home.
He was a member of Georgetown Friends Church, Georgetown Lions Club and volunteered with Faith in Action. As was his giving nature, Larry chose to be an organ donor. His legacy will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Larry's life will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 27, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Georgetown, 200 E. West St., with Pastor Ben Skinner officiating. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, August 26, at the funeral home. Larry had requested that everyone dress casual. He will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park, Danville.

We are so sorry to hear of Larry's passing. We had the pleasure of meeting him several times through his son Eric and always enjoyed seeing him. Please know that your family is in our thoughts and prayers at this sorrowful time.

We both worked for NACCO ( Hyster ), he in the office, me in the warehouse. We both lived in the same community, Georgetown. In the very best sense of the phrase, Larry was " the good neighbor. " He truly lived his faith . Heart felt condolences to all who knew him.

Larry was a kind and caring person. So many folks will remember the many ways he served others; his family, his church, his community. He will be missed. May our Heavenly Father bless and comfort this family.
