Larry  Gildersleeve
Larry Gildersleeve was born in Danville, Ill., August 10, 1937. He was the oldest of four boys born to Harold Gildersleeve and Clara Neighbor.
His parents preceded him in death, as did his brothers Raymond and Donald.
He is survived by his brother, Charles.
In 1963, he married Denyse Craycraft from Perrysville, Ind., They were able to spend 55 years together. She survives him.
They had two children, Renee Shaffer and Michael Gildersleeve. He also was loved by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Larry served in the U.S. Army during the Berlin Crisis and was honorably discharged.
He worked for National Cash Register as a repair technician for 35 years before retiring to Haines City, Fla., in 2001.
He was a good Christian and spent time at Danville Lutheran Church as an usher, ombudsman and served on the cemetery board. They attended Grace Lutheran Church in Winterhaven until his death.
In retirement, he and his wife were able to travel abroad and enjoy spending time with family and friends.

Denise and children, I am so sorry about your loss of Larry and your Dad.
I worked with him at NCR from 1970-1996. He was an excellent man to know and work with.
