Larry Bury, 81, of Hoopeston, IL passed away at 7:19 P.M. Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka, IL. He was born August 20, 1941, the son of Donald R. and Waneta (Truby) Bury. He married Chris Reed on July 3, 1999, in Hoopeston. She survives in Hoopeston, IL.

Along with his wife, Chris, Larry is survived by his four children, Debbie (John) Hubbard of Hazelton, IN, Doug (Gina) Bury of Delavan, IL, Todd (Sandy) Bury of Owensville, IN, and Traci (Jon) Miller of Anderson, IN; two step-daughters, Cassie (Jeff) Tetzloff of Maricopa, AZ and Jackie Rife of Hoopeston, IL; seventeen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and three special step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Mike.

Larry served in the United States Marine Corps. Along with farming, he worked at Stokley's Canning Factory and in sales. He was a member of the Rossville Church of Christ. He was also a member of the North Fork Conservation Club, AMVETS, the Hoopeston American Legion Post #384, and the Hoopeston VFW where he served as past Commander. Larry enjoyed fishing, woodworking, hunting, and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 11:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Anderson Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL 60942. The funeral service will follow the visitation and will begin at 12:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Purdy officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston. Military rites will be accorded by the Hoopeston American Legion Post #384.
