Katherine "Kitty" Repasy, 99 of Danville, passed away at 2:17 p.m. on Friday, July 3, 2015, at the Hawthorne Inn of Danville.. Kitty was born Dec. 6, 1915, in Fairfield, Conn., to Joseph and Helen Jablanowska. She married Andy Joe Repasy on April 2, 1946, in Seattle, Wash. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2011, after 64 years of marriage. Kitty is survived by her four children, Matthew (Mardi) Repasy of Lawton, Okla., Thomas (Joyce) Repasy of Danville, Margaret (Dan) Diggs of Loudon, Tenn., and Helen Repasy of Alexandria, Va.; seven grandchildren, Michael Diggs, Rebecca Greenway, Deborah Repasy, Adam Repasy, Julie Traugh, Mark Repasy, and Sarah Repasy; eight great-grandchildren, Jonathan Greenway, Meaghan Greenway, Katherine Greenway, Gavin Diggs, Emily Diggs, Marissa Repasy, Olivia Hunter and Amelia Traugh, and one sister, Elizabeth Tackovich. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and two sisters, Sophie Lapiniski and Joan Werkheiser.. After growing up in New York City, Kitty moved to Washington, D.C. to work for the U.S. government. While in Washington, Kitty served as a hostess for the USO, where she met Andy. They were longtime residents of Alexandria, Va., and were members of St. Louis Catholic Church. Kitty also worked as an administrative assistant for Mt. Vernon-Lee Enterprises. Six years ago, Kitty and Andy moved to Danville, Andy's hometown. Thanks, Mom, for your delicious fried chicken and golumpki.
