Judith Ann Berg (Judy) Obituary

Crystal Lake, Illinois - Judith Ann (Meek) Berg died in Christ on Tuesday, December 23, in Barrington, Illinois.

Judy was born May 14, 1940, in Danville, Illinois, to Paul and Edith (Olson) Meek. She graduated from Danville High School and earned a degree in speech and hearing therapy from the University of Illinois.

On June 16, 1963, she married Henry F. ("Hank") Berg. Their nearly 63-year marriage was blessed with four children: Mitch; Molly (Mrs. Craig Musgrove); Matt (and Missy); and Maria (Mrs. Randy Wiggs), as well as eight grandchildren: Allie, Emily, Ethan, Ellie, Anna, Olivia, Audon, and Nora.

After years as a full-time mother, choir director, and pianist, Judy returned to school to become a nurse and served as a school nurse for 17 years. Following retirement in 2000, she owned a small bookstore in Nashville, Indiana. In 2015, Hank and Judy moved to Crystal Lake, Illinois, where they enjoyed worshiping with and supporting their children and grandchildren.

Judy is also survived by her sister, Sue (Mrs. Gordon "Doc" Means), and her nieces, Erin, Megan, and Zoe.

Through her baptism into Jesus Christ, Judy was a beloved child of God and an heir of eternal life. May the Lord comfort all who grieve her death with the promise of the resurrection.
