Danville, IL - John G. Flynn, 93, of Danville, IL, passed away on February 19, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of Kenneth and Mildred (Murphy) Flynn, born January 15, 1933, in Lebanon, IN. John married the love of his life, Marian (Fritz) on June 24, 1961, in Hercher, Illinois and spent 64 loving years together. John served 4 years in the Navy during the Korean War, serving aboard the USS Bremerton, a heavy cruiser. He was employed as an assistant manager for the K-Mart Corporation in Danville, IL, for 36 years, retiring in 1995. John was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Tyler; great granddaughter, Ella. He is survived by his sons, Mark (Kim) Flynn of Chrisman, IL, Kenneth Flynn of Sidell, IL, John D. (Dawn) Flynn of Georgetown, IL, and Mathew Flynn of Tilton, IL; 8 grandsons; 4 granddaughters; 3 great granddaughters; 1 great grandson; 1 great great granddaughter; and 1 great great granddaughter coming soon in May, Lilliana; and sister, Mildred (Betty) Flynn. Visitation will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 231 N. State St. Westville, on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., with Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at SS.
