On June 15, 2016, Janice Marie (Blaylock) Robinson went to be with the Lord. Janice was born June 28, 1952, in Danville, to Geneva Blaylock and JP Perkins. Janice graduated from Danville High School in 1971. She was very athletic; Janice played for the local Thomahawks Softball Team for many years, enjoyed roller skating and shot a good pool stick.
Janice loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Holy Family. Janice was a self-employed Beautician and a cashier at Cahills Family Pancake House for many years. She enjoyed baking, swimming, reading history literature and various other novels and had green thumb. Her home was draped with beautiful vines from the floor to the ceiling. Janice was known for conversing and visiting the elderly in the community. Janice loved to cook and cater to her family and community. Janice enjoyed every moment of life, especially spending time with her grandson Camerun Jr., whom she raised, and her nieces and nephews. They considered her the life of the party!
Janice leaves to cherish her loving memory her loving husband, David Robinson; a mother, Geneva Blaylock; son, Camerun Blaylock; grandchildren, Camerun Jr., Jordan and Maurice; a special sister, Sandy Merriweather; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and her dear girlfriends that will dearly miss her.
Janice was preceded in death by her father, JP Perkins; a brother, Randy Blaylock; and her niece and God Daughter, Annette Norris.
A Celebration of Life will commence at 11 a.m. Friday, June 24, at New Life Church of Faith, 1419 North Bowman Ave., Danville. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until the start of the service. Officiating Pastor Ken McCray. A public viewing will be held 1-5 p.m. Thursday, June 23 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home, Danville. Interment 1 p.m. at Danville National Cemetery.
