East Lynn - Jane Elizabeth Steiner, 77, of East Lynn, IL, passed away at 1:50 P.M. Monday November 3, 2025, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. She was born on March 17, 1948, in Tippecanoe Co., IN, the daughter of Lawrence and Ruth (Newmister) Blakeney. They preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her grandparents and two sons, Paul and Karl Steiner.

She is survived by one daughter, Sally (Tim) Prokopec of Romeoville, IL; one son, Joseph (Cheryl) Steiner of East Lynn, IL; daughter-in-law, Holly Steiner of Lafayette, IN; two brothers, Lawrence Blakeney of Florida and Charles Blakeney of Chrisman, IL; six grandchildren, Chris Smith, Sierra Goin, and Ethan, Abigail, William, and Mason Steiner; one great-granddaughter, Ruby Goin; and many nieces and nephews.

Jane worked at Caradco which later became Jeld-Wen for over twenty years until her retirement. She attended the First Presbyterian Church in Hoopeston and was a past member of the Cissna Park American Legion Auxiliary. Her hobbies included sewing, quilting, and baking, and she was an avid reader. Jane especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports and spending time with her family.

A visitation will be held 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. Monday, November 10, 2025, at Anderson Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St., Hoopeston, IL. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at the funeral home with Rev. Jean Oliver-Holder officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery in Tab, IN.
