Jan Suzanne Bowman, 65, of Veedersburg, Indiana, passed away at 5:15pm, Saturday, December 19, 2015 at her home. She was born on January 11, 1950, in Lafayette, IN, the daughter of David Lester and Anita {Lowman} Hinton. She had been married to Edwin Bowman; he preceded her in death.

Jan worked for 39 years at Beef House Restaurant in Covington. She enjoyed collecting perfume bottles and was an avid Scrabble player. She loved her children and grandchildren and was very involved with their lives. She was always there for them in whatever they were doing.

She will be dearly missed by: her parents, David & Anita Hinton; her son, Christopher (Amanda) Bowman of Romeoville, IL; her daughter, Kim (Nick) Seldomridge of Covington; her grandchildren, Blake, Bryce, Brielle, Bailey, Isabel, & Alexandra; her brother, Robert M. (Dianna) Hinton of Boulder, CO; and her sister, Cindy (Pat) Carlson of Boswell, IN. She was preceded in death by: her brothers, David N. Hinton & William Hinton; and her sisters, Betty Gay & Barbara Ann Hinton.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 5:00pm – 8:00pm, Monday, December 28, 2015, at Sunset’s Covington Chapel. As per her wishes, she was cremated.
