James Wombles Obituary
James Kenneth (Kenny) Wombles, 74, of Danville, passed away, Friday, April 12, 2019, at his home.
He was born February 1, 1945, in Danville to Ralph E. Wombles Sr. and Mary D (Walker) Wombles.
He is a proud U.S. Army Veteran and worked at Heatcraft for 42 years, making many dear friends.
Kenny is survived by two daughters, Kandy (Marc) Robinson and Kristy (Brian) Johnson; six grandchildren, James, Jerri Ann, Gordon, Shelbi, Kevin and Zachariah; along with five great grandchildren. He also is survived by a sister, Betty Bennett Wombles of Westville; brother, Rick Wombles of Paris; his very special nephews and niece, Ralph Wombles III, Steven and Janet Wombles, Brian Wombles, Brad Wombles and Jean Trees, Mike and Stacey Wombles, Rebecca and Mike Akins.
Kenny loved spending time with his family and friends. He grew up in Rabbittown area of Danville, causing trouble and making forever memories with neighborhood brothers. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing on his wild boating trips and riding his Harley with his many biker family members.
My father never let anyone down. He fulfilled every obligation he ever undertook. His word was his bond, and everyone knew it. He was a man of honor and integrity. He would give someone his last dollar if they needed it. He was a friend to many and considered family by most.
Dad: Your love, your patience, your understanding, your wisdom and your amazing sense of humor will live on inside us forever. You have given us gifts that are more precious than anything in this world. Goodbye, Dad. I Love You, Kristy.
Private family services will be at a later date.
