Jack Lowe Obituary

Jack Lowe Sr., 87, of Danville, Illinois passed away on Friday, December 17 at OSF Hospital in Danville, Illinois. He was born on April 1, 1934, the son of Pearl (Jackson) and Parley Lowe, in Ambia, Indiana. Jack leaves behind his high school sweetheart who became his wife of 68 years, Marilyn (Dilley) Lowe; six children, Jack Jr. (Diana) Lowe, Terry Lowe, Mike (Tina) Lowe, Cindy (Jerry) Young, Gail (Mark) Richardson, and Tim Lowe; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Sandy Lowe; as well as many nieces and nephews. Jack is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Jean Taylor; a brother, Jerry Lowe; and a granddaughter, Marisa Lowe. Jack graduated from Rossville-Alvin High School in 1952. He was a carpenter for many years and did lawn care maintenance. In his younger years, he enjoyed camping and taking trails in Turkey Run. In his retirement years, he enjoyed feeding and watching hummingbirds. Jack was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on September 14, 1957 in Lawrenceville, Illinois. He attended the Kingdom Hall in Danville, Illinois, along with our Zoom meetings. Memorial services will be held for Jack on Sunday, January 16 at 1:30 pm Illinois time on Zoom.
