Danville, IL - Helen Patricia Burke, 85, of Danville, Illinois was called home to be with her Lord on June 7, 2025. She was born January 23, 1940, in Newman, Illinois, the daughter of Elmer Frank Frick and Sylvia Jean Frick. She married Daniel Gordon Burke on February 22, 1959. He preceded her in death, December 6, 2007. She also was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Donald of Plainfield, Indiana and Charles of Sidell, Illinois; and one sister Phyllis of Sidell, Illinois.

Survivors include two daughters, Michele Noel of Danville, IL.; Danele Butler of Forest Park, IL.; and one son Dannie Burke (Amie) of Terre Haute, IN. Ten grandchildren, Ashton Burke (Samantha) of Carmel, IN., Garland Noel (Rena) of Jeffersonville, IN., Eric Magill of Terre Haute, IN., Emma Burke of Rockville Centre, NY., Luke Butler of Maywood, IL., Audrey Magill of Terre Haute, IN., Liam Noel (Lindsey) Sellersburg, IN., Seth Magill of Terre Haute, IN., Reagan Butler of Forest Park, IL., and Carson Noel of Indianapolis, IN.; great-granddaughter Maya Burke, brother Richard Frick (Karen) of Sidell, IL.; two brothers in law, Kim Burke (Terri) of Indianapolis, IN. and Kevin Burke (Vicky) of Terre Haute, IN.; three sisters in law Carolyn Burke of Danville, IL., Georgia Burke of Danville, IL., and Judith Hornback of Sweetwater, TN. She also leaves many nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.

She worked as a beautician, then as a winder at General Electric in Danville, IL., then as a bookkeeper at her husband's business, Burke Spring Shop in Tilton, IL. Helen was very active in her church, Vermilion Heights Christian Church. She enjoyed being with family, especially her grandchildren, doing arts and crafts, especially painting, gardening, mowing her yard, and traveling.

As per her wishes, cremation was entrusted to Samaritan Funeral Home. A Memorial Celebration will be held at a later date at her church.
