Williamsport, Indiana - Helen A. (Cronkhite) Salts, age 93 of Williamsport, IN, passed away at 3:30 a.m. on Friday, November 20, 2020.

Helen was born on October 16, 1927 near West Lebanon, IN and was a lifelong Warren County resident. She was the daughter of Clarence Earl and Edna Jane (Hickman) Cronkhite. Helen attended Warren County schools. She married Richard Francis Salts on December 1, 1945 in Attica, IN and he preceded her in death August 13, 1990.

Helen was a loving mother and housewife. She farmed with her husband on their family farm. Helen was a member of the Williams Chapel Church. She worked on the Warren County Election Board and the Warren County 4-H Fair Board for many years. Helen loved flowers and took great pride in her flower beds.

Surviving are,

1 son, James R. "Dick" Salts (girlfriend: Janet Lewis) of West Lebanon, IN;

3 daughters, Mary Ann Merryman of Perrysville, IN, Lois Woods of Covington, IN, and Wilma VanSant of (husband: Gerald) of Mt. Carmel, TN;

6 grandchildren;

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 brothers, Gene Cronkhite and Albert Cronkhite; 3 sisters, infant Eleanor Cronkhite, Alice Williamson and Vivian Pearl Dowers; and 2 son-in-laws, Roy Merryman and Marvin Woods.

Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in West Lebanon from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 22, 2020. Funeral services will be there on Monday, November 23, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Minister Bruce Thornsbrough officiating. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery.
