Danville - Frank Harris Jones, 85, of Danville, IL, passed away at 11:50 pm Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Goldwater Care Nursing Home in Danville.

He was born on October 3, 1938, in Penfield, IL, the son of Charles and Dorothy Steenbergen Jones. He married Helen Schendel. He later married Cindy Cornwell on February 7, 1987, in Danville, IL. She survives. Other survivors include: two sons, Tim (Monica) Jones of Peoria, IL and Mark (Suzann) Jones of Decatur; one brother, Paul (Donna) Jones of Danville; four grandchildren, Ryan Jones of Covington, IN, Doug Jones of Colorado, Eric Jones of Idaho, and Lauren Jones of Bloomington, IL; mother-in-law, Wilma (Larry) Schultz of Danville, IL; brother-in-law, Roger (Eva) Cornwell of Westville, IL; sister-in-law, Kathy (Terry) Bowen of Farmer City, IL. And several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Chuck and Joe Jones, and father-in-law, Les Cornwell.

Frank worked in construction for Schendel Builders, C&V Construction, and Schamburg Construction. He loved the rodeo and was a steer wrestler and barrel racer. He also loved to fish.

Funeral services 10 am Friday, March 15, 2024, at Robison Chapel in Catlin with Bruce Parr Officiating. Burial in Partlow Cemetery in Armstrong, IL. Visitation 5-7 pm Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Robison Chapel in Catlin. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Christway Church in Danville, IL. or the charity of the donor's choice.
