Bismarck - Donald Dale Dice, 81, of Bismarck, IL, passed away at 1:39 pm Sunday, September 22, 2024, at his home.

He was born on December 28, 1942, in Danville, IL, the son of Howard A. & Vera Weaver Dice. He married Judith E. Phillips on July 25, 2008, in Danville, IL. She survives. Other survivors include: one son Jarrod (Cheryl) Dice of Bismarck, IL; one daughter, Christina (Jeff) Trusner of Monticello, IL; two stepsons, Brad (Kim) Phillips of Danville, IL and Randy (Amy Treadway) Phillips of Tilton, IL; one brother, Ronald (Mary) Dice of Colorado; sister in law, Linda Dice; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren, and 16 step great grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.

Don was in the Army Reserves for six years and was a lifelong farmer. He started farming in 1960. He farmed with his dad, and then brother, Dan and with his son Jarrod Dice and grandson Nathan Dice. Don brought in 63 harvests. He was a member of the Vermilion County Farm Bureau for 23 years, was on the Vermilion County Extension Board, Bismarck Fire Board, and Farm Credit Board for twenty-two years. He was a member of the I & I Antique Tractor Club and was on the Vermilion County Soil & Water Conservation District Board. He was a member of the Bismarck Lions Club. He was a former member of the Walnut Corner Church of Christ and was a current member of the Bismarck First Church of Christ and he was an elder at both churches. Don and Judy enjoyed their time with their coffee group from Indiana.

Funeral services 11am Friday, September 27, 2024, at Bismarck First Church of Christ, 100 Maiden Lane, Bismarck, IL 61814 with Jim Boudouris officiating. Burial in Walnut Corner Cemetery.
