Allerton, Illinois - Debra E. Bodine, 64, of Allerton, Illinois went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 9:56 pm on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at her home.

Deb was born on April 14, 1960, in Danville, Illinois to Joe and Elizabeth DeNeal Maddox. They survive. She married Kevin Bodine of Sidell, Illinois on September 6, 1986, in Sidell. He survives. They spent over 38 wonderful years together. She is also survived by her sons: the lights of her life: Brock (Caitlin Duffy) Bodine of Arlington, Virginia and Blake (Haley) Bodine of Danville; grandson: Warren Bodine of Danville, who she adored, and one granddaughter on the way: Wren Elizabeth Bodine; sister: Lisa (Brad) Jarvis of Catlin; brother: Rodney (Britta) Maddox of Allerton; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Bob and Roberta Bodine of Alvin; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Bill and Rhonda Miller. Michelle Bodine and Robin Bodine all of Bismarck; as well as two nieces and three nephews.

Deb was a 1978 graduate of Jamaica high school where she was homecoming queen as well as valedictorian. She then graduated from Illinois State University in 1982 with a degree in Agribusiness. She started her career at Federal Land Bank / Farm Credit Services in Champaign. After having her children, she decided to change her career path and find a job where she could work from home and raise her children. She entered the medical transcription field, first working for Patton Medical Transcription, then Christie Clinic, and then finished her career at McKinley Health Center at the University of Illinois. Deb was a lifelong member of the Sidell United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years as well as served on several different committees. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and tried to serve Him as best as she could. Her faith was very important to her. She was an avid reader, loving to read her bible daily and doing daily devotionals. She loved animals, feeding the birds and wildlife, water skiing in her younger years, and Southern Gospel Music. Deb was blessed with a great group of friends who she loved. Most of all, she loved being with her family and spending time with them.

Funeral services 10:30 am on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Sidell United Methodist Church with Dale DeNeal and Chris Easton officiating. Burial will follow at the Gundy Cemetery, Bismarck, Illinois. Visitation 5 to 7 pm on Friday, April 11, 2025, at the Sidell United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to the Sidell United Methodist Church or the Vermilion County Animal Shelter. Robison Chapel, Catlin, Illinois is handling the arrangements.
