Georgetown, Illinois - Christine "Chris" Johnson (Collom), 61, of Georgetown, Ill., passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at her home.
Chris was born in Danville, Ill., on July 18, 1958. She graduated from Georgetown High School in 1976.
More than anything, Chris enjoyed time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved beyond measure. Her other passions included gardening and spending time outdoors.
She had a kind and gentle soul and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Chris is survived by her children, Angela (Daniel) Boyd, Catlin, Ill., Dennis Hernandez II (Marjorie Bruce), Georgetown, Amanda (Lance) Weathers, Georgetown; grandchildren, Payton and Jared Boyd and Dennis Hernandez III.
Chris also is survived by her siblings, Cynthia (Jay) Williams, Peoria, Ill., Daniel Collom, Georgetown, David (Debbie) Collom, Peoria, Jack "Doug" (Diane) Collom, Denton, Texas.
Chris is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Marylin (Pringle) Collom.
A visitation service will be 1-3 p.m. Monday, February 17, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Chapel, 200 E. West St., Georgetown, IL 61846, with a memorial service immediately following. Online condolences: www.rortvedtfuneralservices.com
