Charles Greene Obituary
Charles R. (Chuck) Greene, Jr. passed away June 6, 2021, at St. Frances OSF Medical Center in Peoria, IL.
He was born October 6, 1961, the son of Charles R. Greene, Sr. and Linda S. (Dawes) Greene in Danville, IL. Chuck married Kendra Grimes in 1982; she passed away in 2014. He was also preceded in death by his father, father-in-law, mother-in-law, and all grandparents.
Survivors include his mother Linda Rogers of Tilton, IL; 2 sons, David G. (April) Grimes of Danville, IL, and Joseph H. Greene of Crawfordsville, IN; 3 sisters, Laurie (Dennis) Cope of State Line, IN, Susan Cruppenink, and Jamie Hennig both of Westville, IL; 2 grandchildren, Peyton and Colton; 1 step-granddaughter, Amanda; several nieces and nephews; and three very special friends, John Teeguarden, Robert Tucker, and Scott Charles.
Chuck worked at Phelps Salvage in Covington, IN, for several years until its closing.
As per his wishes, he will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Brunswick Bar in Westville, IL.
