Catlin - Charles Richard "Charlie" Blaker, 87, of Catlin, passed away at 12:20 pm, Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Goldwater Care Nursing Home in Danville.

Charlie was born on February 26, 1937, in Paris, IL., the son of John and Birdie Tohill Blaker. He married Shirley Ann Biggs on July 7, 1957. He later married Connie Ingram Maloney on July 31, 1981. She survives. Other survivors include: two sons, Robert J. (Karen) Blaker of Westville and Darryl Ray Blaker of Largo, FL; five stepsons, Jeffrey Donald (Robin) Maloney of Clinton, IN, Jay Dee Maloney of Catlin, James Dean (Becky) Maloney of Clinton, IN, Jonathan Douglas Maloney of Catlin, and Joseph Darrin (Becky) Maloney of Catlin; sister-in-law, Carole Kadinger; seven step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren; two favorite cousins, Kenneth Tohill and Vivian Rinebold. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother David Blaker, and an infant brother.

Charlie was a veteran of the U.S. Army from 1957-1960, serving in Germany. He worked as a Union Carpenter. He was a member of the Catlin and Paris Lions Club. Charlie loved to travel and was always the life of the party.

Funeral services Noon Friday, December 6, 2024, at Robison Chapel in Catlin with Chris Lawler officiating. Burial in Friends Chapel Cemetery in Scottland, IL.
