Carol "Peanut" Coker, 75, of Tilton passed away on December 19, 2023 from a massive stroke.
Visitation will be 1 p.m.-3 p.m. Friday, December 29, at Kruger Funeral Home (formerly Pape's), 10 E Williams St. in Danville, with service to follow at 3 p.m. at Kruger with Pastor Ramey Gordon officiating. Flower arrangements can be made at Danville Floral Co.
Carol was born November 8, 1948, in Danville, daughter of the late Clifton (Ennocent Johnson) Carpenter Sr. Carol graduated from Danville High School, and went on to study Business Management at Danville Area Community College and retired from the Norfolk-Southern Railroad after 20 years.
Survivors include son, Todd (Amber) Moore of Ogden; stepson, Harlan N. Rys of Danville; brother, Clifton Carpenter Jr. of Danville; grandchildren: Tyler and Tanner Moore of Ogden, Alexandria Rys of Ogden; one great-grandchild Harlynn Rys of Ogden and many other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Clifton (Ennocent) Carpenter; sister, Donna Carpenter (Jim) Mitchell; Uncle and Aunt; Emil (Dorothy) Carpenter; second husband Harlan G. Rys; third husband Warren J. Coker.
Carol "Peanut" was a wonderful person who enjoyed life. She kept herself busy with her love for billiards, sewing, crocheting, shopping, being with her grandchildren and spending time drinking tea with her beloved friends. Online condolences: www.rortvedtfuneralservices.com.
