Betty Christine (Bracewell) Kizer, 90, of Perrysville, Ind., passed away Friday, April 26, 2019, at her home, surrounded by her husband of 72 years and family.
She was born in Danville, Ill., on September 15, 1928, the daughter of Dana and Ruby (Lang) Bracewell.
On October 4, 1946, at First Presbyterian Church in Danville, Betty married the love of her life, Frank Wayne Kizer.
He survives, as well as their six children, Steve of New Castle, Ind., Susie (Gary) Francour of Pigeon Forge, Tenn., Sandy (Larry) Rollins of Perrysville, Ind., Joe of Westville, Ill., Sharon Godsil of Arvada, Colo., and Sara (John) Wegman of Cayuga, Ind.; 20 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren as well.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Bracewell; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.
She worked for Illinois Bell early in her career and retired from the Danville VA in 1990. Her favorite pastimes were spending time with family, playing cards, shopping and auctions.
There will be no services per her wishes. She will be laid to rest at Danville National Cemetery.
