Barbara "Sue" Strain (Phillips) was called home early Monday morning, Feb. 28.. Sue was born on March 22, 1941, in Danville to John and Nancy Phillips. They precede her.. Also preceding were siblings, Lovita Stucky (Garland), Beuhla "Boots" Day (Garland), Robert "Bobby" Phillips and Tommy Phillips.. Barbara was formerly married to Ernie Strain.. Surviving children are two sons, Kenneth Strain and Paul (Rebecca) Strain; and six grandchildren, Stephen, Andrew, Jacob, Thomas, Jeremiah and Abigail Strain. Surviving siblings include, Roger Garland, Ina Garland, John Phil-lips, Eva Lundy (Phil-lips), Bonnie Cisek (Phil-lips) and Christy Herzog (Phillips). Also surviving are many special nieces and nephews.. Sue enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, and loved to talk to her friends on her CB radio.. A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at the Holiday Hills Free Methodist Church, 1700 N. Bowman Ave. in Danville, with Pastor Joe Latson officiating.
