Barbara E Newman Dice Ludlow, 95, formerly of Veedersburg, passed away 7:40 PM Thursday February 2, 2023 at the Indiana Veteran's Home in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Barbara was born October 7, 1927 in Stone Bluff, IN the daughter of Joseph and Blanche (Board) Newman. She was married to Joseph Thompson Dice, he preceded her in death November 29, 1961. She was later married to Richard Leroy Ludlow, and he preceded her in death December 11, 2012.

She is also preceded in death by her daughter Carol Jane "Janie" Dice McManomy; four sisters, Frances Ingersoll, Josephine Grubb, Anna Lou Crider, Lois Mitton; and a brother Joseph Allen Newman.

Surviving family include two daughters, Sandra K. (Bill) Dice Harrison, Veedersburg; Betty Joann (Steve) Dice Plank, Crawfordsville; five grandchildren, Jeffrey Scott (Robyn) McManomy, DeWayne Joseph "DJ" (Mindy) Harrison, Christian Alan (Emily) Wilson, Carly Renee (Jim) Frazier, Rodney William (Suzanne) Harrison; nine great grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two step-daughters, Wynona (Matt) Nunan, her son Jared, and her step-daughters Ashley and Chelsea; Dina (Jim) Cotten and her children Katie, Blake, and Clint.

Barbara graduated from Veedersburg High School . Throughout her life she had owned and operated Gross' Truck Stop in Sterling; she had been employed at GE in Danville IL, Wickes Lumber in Hillsboro, and NAPA in Covington.

She was a member of Sterling Christian Church, where she had been a Sunday School teacher and song leader for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, and was well known for her delicious fried chicken and potato salad.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Saturday February 11, 2023 at Sterling Christian Church 701 S Sterling Ave Veedersburg IN with Pastor Gary Johnson officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM Saturday the 11th at the church and continue until the time of service. Burial will be at Osborn Prairie Cemetery near Stone Bluff.
