Arnold Richard "Rooster" McClain was born November 13, 1935 in Danville to the Late Clarence

"Cornbread" McClain and Esther (Thomas) McClain. Arnold graduated from Danville High

School in 1954. He then joined the US Army in 1956 where he served his country as a

marksman and was honorably discharged after many years of faithful service. After his

separation from the service Arnold returned to Danville and began working at the General

Motors Central Foundry where he was employed for over 30 years until his retirement in 1993.

Arnold was an original member of the Untouchables Motorcycle Club for 50 years.

Arnold was united in Holy Matrimony to the Love of his Life, Linda "Bubbles" McClain on

September 30, 1976. They spent the last 43 years of their life together. Arnold loved his club

the Untouchables MC, he enjoyed traveling, The Chicago Bears, spending time with his kids

and grandkids, and was an avid Fisherman and Hunter, until his health began to decline in

2012.

Arnold leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Stacey Webb of Peoria, IL., Sheldon G

McClain Sr. of Fisher, IL., and Heidi (James) Pertell of Danville, IL. His 17 grandchildren, 18

great grandchildren, one sister Constance Middleton of Indianapolis, In. One Uncle, Dr. Eugene

Thomas of Chicago, IL. and a host of relatives and friends. Arnold was preceded in death by

his wife of 43 years, Linda S. "Bubbles" McClain, His parents Clarence and Esther, Three

Children: Richard, Armond and Carmen, 3 grandchildren: Arianna, Arelle, and Braylon, 1 sister

Evette, 1 brother Eugene "Sonny Boy" and his best friend Joe Willie Adams.

A Homegoing Celebration will commence at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday December 29, 2020 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home, 304 E. Williams St., Danville. A Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow after at Danville National Cemetery. A public viewing will be on Monday December 28, 2020 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Leek & Sons Funeral Home. Officiating Pastor Tommie Reed.
